Coolsculpting – The Process, Results, and Side Effects

Cryolipolysis or commonly known as CoolSculpting is body contouring procedure that is non-invasive. A cosmetic surgeon works with a device to get rid of fats under the skin using the freezing technique. When the fat cells had been destroyed, they have slowly stripped away from the body naturally through the liver.

The Procedure

The coolsculpting procedure takes about one hour. It costs about $1,000 per area of treatment.

This procedure is a fairly new approach in cosmetic surgery and only allowed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the United States in 2012.

While the society has fairly accepted the new procedure, only a few have tried and tested it. Several patients who have tested the process attested that it is safe and surprisingly comfortable.

The Results

Most people start noticing the results 2 or 3 days after the treatment, however, it frequently will take up to 4 months before the full outcomes will be noticeable.

Many say that they don’t exactly feel anything at all throughout the treatment, apart from a yanking feeling in which the skin is between two cooling panels.

The procedure don’ t require recovery time as the procedure in itself is non-invasive. No knives, or anesthesia used in the process.

The Side Effects

The only obvious unwanted effects of the process are usually small and happen only surrounding the treatment area. Most minimal side effects greatly reduce or disappear in just a couple of days to weeks following the treatment.

It is typical to encounter feeling numb or loss of experience within the treatment area for approximately 30 days.

The patient may encounter these unwanted effects for a number of weeks following the treatment. Other typical unwanted effects that an individual may encounter within the first few days after CoolSculpting include things like:

  • itchiness, particularly a number of days after the treatment
  • diarrhea, because dead body fat is stripped away from the body
  • a sense of fullness inside the throat right after treatments relating to the area around the neck or chin

This latest technology in fat loss is another added breakthrough in the fitness industry. And even if this could be one of the easiest ways to get rid of fats, it’s always a good reminder that diet and exercise are still the healthiest routes to keeping a healthy body and well accepted by the society.
